My Inspiration
In Greek mythology the Titan Atlas has to bear the heavens on his shoulders as a punishment for leading the Titans in a rebellion against the Olympian Gods. I depicted the hand of Atlas reaching out of the Earth, symbolized by a beautifully cut granite from the surrounding hills. The hand carries the sky which is represented by a glass surface of the table.
