Wrought iron crate Apple
I was at the market with a friend. He is a carpenter and we were talking about his next project. Around us women were selling all sorts of seasonal fruit from wooden crates. I had a fantastic idea; he could make a similar crate as those for storing apples, only smaller one that would go well on a table. And then I say: Why shouldn’t I make it? A crate with iron strips connected with rivets to

make it more captivating! I set to work that very day. I decided to use for iron strips one each side. The finished product surprised me because it was quite heavy in comparison to its size. To finalize I heated a piece of the strip and hallmarked it with my logo – pliers and a hammer. I applied a colorless matte varnish for protection and to preserve a nice gray-blue color of rolled iron. I think the crate fits in beautifully in traditional homes like country houses, as well as modern spaces, gardens and patios.
