My Inspiration
I was inspired by a blossom of a tulip, the flower that is portrayed on many state symbols and in Christian iconography. Turned towards the sun, it drinks in the warmth of the sun, and closes with the sunset. I turned the stylized flower upside down and hung it on the ceiling allowing the light of the blossom to spread around the room.
